Visit our circular fashion experience center to gain hands-on knowledge about the complex issues surrounding climate and fashion. Our interactive workshops aim to debunk the glamour of the industry and empower individuals to make sustainable choices. Students get to learn about: 1. the textile waste problem and how it intersects with the climate issue at large; 2. clarify their climate concepts and trace their personal carbon footprint; 3. from swapping, upcycling, repairing to thrifting, they learn about solutions that they can implement at home; 4. deeper understanding of the textile reclaiming process; Each student creates their own souvenir to take home at the end of the activity, and gets awarded a certificate of participation. Why Does Circular Fashion Matter to India? As one of the world's largest textile economies, India has both the responsibility and the opportunity to lead the transition from a linear model to a circular economy. India generates an estimated 7.8 million tonnes of post-consumer textiles every year. While nearly 59% of these textiles are reused, recycled, or downcycled, around 3.2 million tonnes still end up in landfills, are burnt, or lose value through low-grade applications.
